Congreso Panamericano CDMX 2025

Last year, Colombian President Gustavo Petro inaugurated the Panamerican Congress in Bogotá, convening eight delegations from across North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean to discuss the themes of democracy, peace, and climate.

The Congress concluded with a commitment to continue “forging a community of progressive legislators” and to convene the next Congress in Mexico City, where President Claudia Sheinbaum is leading a transformation “for the good of all, first the poor.”

Now, the Panamerican Congress is arriving to the Mexican capital, bringing delegations from 12 countries across the hemisphere with an ambitious agenda that ranges from equality to prosperity, solidarity to sovereignty.

Over the course of three days — from the National Palace to the Senate of the Republic and beyond — delegates will learn from each other, deliberate the crises of the hemisphere, and chart a course out of them.
